Foundation Unit
The Greencare Foundation has been set up to raise awareness of and funds for sustainable water and sanitation projects in Africa. Ghana is one of the countries worst affected by poor sanitation. In rural Ghana just 11% have access to adequate sanitation facilities. Kwahu Tafo is typical of rural Ghana, the only public convenience being of the long drop variety with no flushing water or septic tank. The waste from the town is kept in basic pits within the community where it is exposed and can seep into water courses.
Clients can actively support and be involved in making a real difference in this community with a "Greencare Foundation Unit". Every time a client installs a “Greencare Foundation Unit” into their washrooms, Greencare H2O invests the money into the foundation in the name of the organisation. To date over £10,000 pounds has been directly invested by our clients into providing sustainable water and sanitation facilities in Ghana. Each client is then presented with a certificate which details their involvement and will also carry on raising awareness through their own staff and clients.
